WHAT IS THE YURT LIFE?

Ever since my first fort as a kid I have always had an interest in alternative structures, and growing up in Colorado I have seen Yurts at many ski resorts. In 2011 I decided to get one of my own.

My name is Joe and this site is tinkered on by me – but The Yurt Life is a collection of stories, friends, and adventures that transform a yurt at 11,800′ in the Colorado backcountry, into a lifestyle.
